''Nurturing
Ayurveda and healing yoga retreat for women with Dr Sujatha Kekada
and yoga therapist Linda Madani''
In this retreat you will get the
chance to experience Ayurveda, India's Number One Medical System,
first hand. Dr. Kekada, a qualified Ayurvedic Doctor, will meet
you personally for a one-on-one consultation. Here you will get
a chance to discuss your health in detail and find out about your
constitution, about foods that you should avoid and seek to consume,
activities that are beneficial for your constitution and much more.
After your consultation you will have the opportunity to experience
daily a combination of two out of these three unique rejuvenating
and detoxifying ayurvedic treatments: Abhyanga, Shirodhara and Detox
Body Wrap or if needed, a special treatment for your specific condition.
Abhyanga is an
Indian Body Massage that covers the whole body. It follows the pathways
of what Ayurveda considers the vital life force (Ojas) in the body
and is thus highly beneficial in cases of exhaustion and tiredness.
Shirodhara is a
very calming treatment in which warm and medicated oil flows across
the forehead. This helps to stabilize the mind and to nurture the
sense organs.
Detox Body Wrap:
This wrap uses natural ingredients like ginger and sandalwood to
exfoliate and detoxify by increasing the blood circulation.
Together with these treatments you
will experience daily yoga pranala classes twice a day led by Linda
Madani. Linda Madani delights in teaching yoga pranala -- a powerful
combination of vinyasa flow, mudra pranala (energy movement), pranayama
(breathing), yoga nidra (relaxation) and meditation for self-healing.
In the lontars -- Balinese sacred texts -- pra means first, prana
power, nala inner fire and pranala circulation. Prana and energy
movements are essential for healing mind, body and spirit. Through
the practice of yoga postures combined with gentle breathing and
movement, life force is activated, stress patterns are released,
and the nervous system and glands are stimulated. Increase your
awareness of the energy flowing in your body, connect to the energies
of the earth and the universe and unite the two poles to access
your power.
